Macro Influencers Breakdown - Are They Right For My Business?

Let’s dive into what are macro influencers, what should you look out for and if they are a good fit for your business!

Macro Influencers are your top experienced creators with over 100k+ following. Here’s what is great about working with them:

  1. Macro influencers are professionals in their field. They’ve mastered their niche and have either 1. grown over time with an extremely engaging audience or 2. had a few posts go viral. (You guessed it, you want those no 1’s)

  2. Macro Influencers are true creators who are most likely doing so full-time, usually launching their own brands or working with a variety of collaborations on a regular basis. The exposure to their audience that’s been built over the years can be huge for your business.

  3. These creators know what they’re doing and they do it well! They are huge examples to the Nano’s and Micros.

  4. Budgets can vary from £1k+ - 10k+ p/post (depends on each creator) meaning you would need to prepare briefs and set aside budgets.

Here’s what you should look out for:

  • Due to no 2 option mentioned above, make sure you check that their audience is a match and their growth wasn’t due to a couple of viral posts.

  • High engagement / following does not always equal to tons of sales, review the person’s ‘interests’ over the years and check their niche /audience hasn’t dramatically changed every year from fitness to beauty to travel as this may affect how your business is seen.

  • Macro-influencers will get tons of emails a day and likely to have an agency managing their partnerships. Make sure you provide a clear brief (No DM’s these are likely to be missed)

Hope these help you make a better decision when you next work with influencers… And if you ever have any Q’s you know who to contact!
