Influencer Marketing & Why Gifting is Back!

Let’s chat about Influencer Marketing and why gifting is back!

  1. HASSLE-FREE

With the rise of influencer budgets over the last 5-10+ years, come the briefs, contracts, and timelines to meet. Even huge celebrities and creators may at times prefer to work on a gifted basis when it matches their lifestyle and plans.

How this looks: It’s the summer, and your favourite creator is going on holiday - you catch them at the perfect time as they need a beach bag to grab without the worry if/when she will be posting about it. During the trip she snaps away on stories and gets tons of Q’s - she then tags you directing it back to your brand.

  2. THE ORGANIC APPROACH

Many creators I speak to have other jobs and for them it isn’t all about being sponsored and creating ads. With the saturated market of influencers, people are appreciating less-ads from creators who show up with value without a direct sale involved.

How this looks: Your favourite creator on TikTok is sharing her personal story while doing her skincare, she uses products she’s loving without a direct mention. However naturally, someone in the comments asks - which organically leads to sales or exposure.

  3. A NATURAL SALE

It’s a gift, meaning there aren’t any obligations that the creator should post unless they want to. Gifting can be a great way to expose your business to a wider audience event if the item ends up in the creator’s friend’s makeup bag, gifting for event goodie bags and sponsoring giveaways can all lead to positive WOM (word of mouth).

How this looks: This gives a person tons of time to test the product, sometimes finish it in their own time and re-buy themselves and then recommend it to their audience/friend, because of how great it was! Ka-ching.

What are your thoughts on gifting? We’d LOVE to hear from you.

Love,

Skai and the girls x
