Pinterest 2022: 5 Ways To Use It For Business

I’d love to talk about the importance of Pinterest. But not just Pinterest for fun-Pinterest. I want to talk about how you can use Pinterest for business purposes, drive traffic and make sales too.

We tend to use Pinterest when browsing visual ideas for the feed, a board for clients to be inspired when shooting and linking our content to create traffic to our website, IG and TikTok. BUT, you can also use Pinterest to:

🍓1. Drive Traffic
Each piece of content when clicked on will direct you back to the original source. This is why it’s also important that your profile is up to date, your bio and banners are there and explain exactly what you do.

🍓2. Extra Conversion
If you are already creating consistent content that is on-brand on other social media platforms, you can use these on Pinterest and make sure you are delivering a consistent flow of new and engaging content that your audience will love.

🍓3. Brand Building
If you’ve been watching the ‘Dream Home Makeover’ on Netflix like me, I digitally-ran to their Pinterest boards after season 1 because I KNEW I will find some inspiration ideas + can shop here. Unfortunately, I also found out they only deliver furniture in Canada, but you get the point :’)

Pinterest is FREE! So you can reach a wide audience for free by having fun! Unless of course, you get into Pinterest advertising or sponsored posts. Pro Tip: Dedicate 30 mins every two days to focus on Pinterest and I promise you’ll see a rise in views of your profile and pins at the very minimum!

Apart from pinning content, you can use Pinterest to better understand your audience. Pinterest is very personal to people, we spend time working up ‘wedding boards’, ‘dream offices’ and ‘baby rooms’ not chatting to friends which is a very private space.

Do I think Pinterest will WIN over TikTok? Probably not at the moment. Do I think it’s a great platform to drive traffic and sales to your platforms? Absolutely!
